Chamber Orchestra

The Chamber Orchestra started as the RMIT String Ensemble, which had it’s humble beginnings as a trio, but it was not until in 2008 that the group grew to a respectable size. Over the years the group has grown and shrunk, but has always maintained a devoted following of musicians.

Our repertoire is a mix of various styles of music ranging from Early Renaissance to Classical and Film Music.

RMIT Chamber Orchestra is always seeking new musicians to join and we welcome any skill level. We accept musicians of Violins, Violas, Cellos, Double Basses. All interested Woodwind and Brass  musicians need to contact us for available spaces, as these are limited.
