Attention all musicians!!
The RMIT Chamber Orchestra has started rehearsals once again.
Rehearsals start at 6:00pm each night, every Friday in building 57 level 4 room 1.
New members are always welcome who play Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass. However we are looking for violinist, violist and bassist at the moment, but cellist are still welcome.
Any and all wind musicians interested please email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) for availability based on repertoire instrumentation.
RMIT Music is looking forward to presenting their Semester 1 Showcase Concert. It will feature all the ensembles of the RMIT Music Collective:
– Concert Band
– Stage Band
– Recorder Consort
– Chamber Orchestra
– Flute Ensemble
There is a Disney theme for the evening with entry free and it is open to all. There will be a raffle and best dressed Disney themed audience member. It will be hosted on Friday May 16th at 7:00pm on Kaleide Theatre on Swanston Street.

2014 Rehearsal Camp Timetable
Concert Band and the Flute Ensemble will be running on the Labor Day holiday.
There will be a contact number up on the doors.
Don’t let a closed door discourage you from attending!!
For Semester 1 camp we will be staying at the Rubicon Campus, leaving from the RMIT Music room on Friday March 21st and returning on Sunday March 23rd.
Be prepared for a fun time of socialising and rehearsing. There are many fun things planned and to find out what they are, you’ll just have to come and see for your self.
This semester’s theme is Animals so come dressed up in your greatest animal-like costume.
This is a fully catered camp with transport and accommodation included, the cost is $50 for RMIT Student and $60 for non-RMIT students. You will need to pay for camp via UNIONE http://rmitlink.rmit.edu.au/
We will self cater so fill out the Medical Form to ensure we know what you can eat.
Bring along board games, warm clothing, toiletries, instruments, bed linen (sheets, sleeping bags pillows and pillow cases) and sleeping attire.

Hope everyone has had a great summer, but now as the new academic year draws near so to our ensemble rehearsals. Last year was our best in terms of performances and growth. So we should endeavour to make this year even more great.
